This video describes the military situation in Ukraine on the 6th of December 2024

Here’s what others had to say:

@elysianfields1671
Russia doesn’t need to choose anything. They know Ukraine is existential for them. Syria needs help, but only if they really want to be helped and are willing to fight.

@iago7048
I don’t think Russia will slowdown in Ukraine to save Siria.

@Snoozerboozer
Putin aint gonna sacrifice the victory in ukraine for what happening in Syria, if Assad not can hold back 20-30000 rebels, then maybe its time for him to leave, or get help from friends from Iran and Irak.

@stephenromey6348
I disagree with Dima here – the Russians will not commit massive forces to Syria – some air support, perhaps some logistical support, but not 10 combat brigades or anything like that. The Iranians can handle the manpower part of this with their proxies. This is NOT an either OR situation.

@tolis7411
Who told you that the Syrian Collapse affects the war in Ukraine ??? Oh boy, you are out of touch from reality… PS. They are not ” rebels “, they are Takfiri Criminals.

@stlouisix1
Update on US proxy war in Syria…

Syrian forces continue withdrawing following a large offensive carried out by US-sponsored terrorists from Idlib, northern Syria;

Syrian forces previously withdrew from these regions during the 2011-2015 phase of the US proxy war against Syria;

Russian intervention allowed Syrian forces to incrementally take back territory with a specific task force, city-by-city, in operations that spanned years;

It is still too early to draw conclusions about the disposition of forces on either side, including how overextended Russian and Iranian forces may be or the full depth of combat power of US-backed terrorists;

Syrian forces are likely falling back because they are incapable of holding all of this territory at once, particularly in areas like Hama and Homs serving as traditional strongholds of US-backed extremism and will need to incrementally retake it as it did from 2015 onward; – The New Atlas

@alexanderlejon9958
There tons of news from Syria. The Syrians just giving up everything and they are expecting that Russia and Iran will do everything for them. I have doubts if they deserve any help at all.

@victorlombardi1149
No one has ever seen the North Korean soldiers.
This leaves us with the only possible answer: it is a colossal lie that the NK is backward. In fact they must be very advanced because they obviously possess stealth technology unmatched in the world !

@antonlogunov1936
Syria was a stage for Russia to try it geopolitical muscle, get experienced troops. If Bashar can not grip power over Syria – someone else should.

@SuperLuky64
What you say about the choice between Ukraine and Syria, is precisely the trap created by the USA, after having seen the Mercenary advance in Kursk fail to stop the Russian advances on the field, they have devised this new attack, always hoping that the Russians will rush to help Syria. But Russia, having made many alliances with other countries, will find a way to make the terrorist advance succumb, just as it did in Kursk, without using its troops on the front.

@juansantana8448
The obvious priority is Ukraine, of course, but I believe Russia also has enough resources with its allies to not only “slow down” the rebels, but to actually defeat them

@davezigzag1241
You can conclude that the Syrian army is not prepared to stand and fight the rebels when they can all come to the UK and have a great life all paid for.

@jameslawrie3807
The Syrians are falling back from Sunni-majority areas towards the mountains which are better defensive ground. The local Russian and Syrian air assets are punishing the logistics lines of the Turkish-supported extremist proxy insurgents.
Erdogan seems to have overplayed his hand as there are reports of main force Turkish troops moving into Syria in support, making them valid targets for air attack. One brisk slap on the nose may well make Erdogan abandon his proxies, but maybe not.

@mandaloriancrusader6699
Can Russia do both, yes. Should they pay such a steep price for it, doubtful. If Syrian army flees from all those hard won strategic positions that took years to free… question asks itself why should Russians and Iranians bleed if they won’t? Ukrainian issue is a problem for Russia, Middle East is not.

@psevenson
There is something strange in Syria fog of war. There is no way a small rebel group can make such huge territorial advances in such a short time, and with the Syrian army retreating almost without fight. Obviously USA, UK and France are supporting the rebels, in the hope of diverting Russian resources to the area, but Putin is no fool. There is a time for everything. If USA wants to create a mess in Syria, then so be it.

@Shoey77100
Putin is too smart to bite on this, he won’t allow trouble in Syria to stop anything in Ukraine, Ukraine is priority #1, they will do what they can for Syria but they will not allow that to impede the SMO

@zero1breaker
Why is it Russia the primary military be the one defending Syria. Iran should really step up if they are really ally of Syria. China seems to be MIA
