SCOTLAND’S new First Minister, John Swinney of the Scottish National Party, is promising to be as much a disaster as his predecessor, who loudly complained there were too many white people in positions of authority in the country.
Swinney is off to a bad start, touting himself as a hero in the global campaign of imbeciles who think they are “saving the planet” from what they believe is a “deadly, planet-threatening gas”, otherwise known as carbon dioxide (CO2) by sensible people who learned some basic science at school. Sensible people also know it’s one of the essential chemical elements of life.
Swinney has managed to rile clear thinking Scots by posting a picture of himself on X, grinning like a fool, with a message underneath about how he is proud to have been re-elected as European co-chair of the Under2 Coalition for a third term.
In case you hadn’t heard, the Under2 Coalition is a global gaggle of politicians and other shameless grifters on some sort of quasi-religious mission to abolish CO2 and in so doing will “save the planet”. “We’re the largest global network of states and regions committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2050 at the latest,” the morons proclaim on their website. Under2 has a senior management team of 10 with 22 “department leaders” under them.
Sitting at the top of this pile of grifters as “Chair of the UK Board”, is the former South Australian premier Mike Rann. As a reminder, Rann is an ex-Pom-Kiwi student commie and journalist, who shifted to South Australia and rose through the ranks of the SA parliamentary Labor Party.
After his premiership, Rann was rewarded for his allegiance to green globalism by being give plumb diplomatic posts such as UK High Commissioner for a term and other posts. And now Rann, like all good multi-millionaire commies, is up to his neck in “climate politics” pushing the insane net zero ideology like a corporate brand.
“Today, the coalition represents 178 individual states, regions, provinces and subnational governments along with several other national and subnational entities: a total of more than 270 actors, totalling more than 50% of global GDP,” they spout.
Are we supposed to be impressed? In reality this Under2 Coalition is more like an international asylum or cult whose members have all drunk some sort of spiked koolaid.
Meanwhile one of Swinney’s detractors back home has pointed out the disgusting state of parts of Glasgow where apparently stalled project work and dumped rubbish leaves streets looking some scene in a movie about dystopian times. That’s probably because times are dystopian.
“Below is Glasgow today,” NatJack posted on X under a collage of four Glasgow street scenes. “Do something about the mess we live in rather than spouting your grandstanding hyperbole for the benefit of other countries. You are a disingenuous, lying pervert.”
NatJack also posted a revealing statement by Cop28 president, Sultan Al Jaber of the UAE: “There is no science behind demands for phase-out of fossil fuels and phasing out coal, oil and gas would take the world back in to caves.”
The sultan is quite right, and would be supported in that statement by thousands of scientists and economists world-wide. Arab states should simply stop hosting these stupid talk fests, now that the truth has been made known.
But Swinney and his team will simply ignore people like the Sultan, and continue on their crusade as long as the global “green energy” corporates and governments keep pouring money in. Swinney undoubtedly loves the trips to Europe, the fancy hotels and cocktail hours with the likes of Rann and his corporate-government swill.
The Scottish people are less than impressed. “Scunnered Scot” posted on X: “A council operative who thinks he can ignore his actual job. He’s not a World Leader. He’s in charge of making sure the bins are emptied, the libraries stay open and schools are funded. I would add the NHS, transport and a few other issues, but I don’t want to overload him.”
The SNPclosed many beds in #Scotland. Your cabal is responsible for a collapse of public services.”
