Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX and the owner of the social media platform X, has openly criticized the Biden administration for what he perceives as its role in facilitating illegal immigration into the United States.
Musk’s remarks come amidst a significant increase in unlawful border crossings since President Joe Biden assumed office, which he argues are evident in the escalating numbers.
On X, Musk shared a graph illustrating the stark rise in border encounters and apprehensions and the simultaneous decrease in the expulsion of illegal immigrants under the current administration.
At this point, there is no question that this administration is actively facilitating illegal immigration.

He stated unequivocally, “At this point, there is no question that this administration is actively facilitating illegal immigration. The numbers speak for themselves.”
In response to a user inquiring about the administration’s motivations, Musk suggested a political strategy, asserting, “They view them as future Dem voters.”
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) sources reported a record-breaking 276,000 border encounters in the last month alone, surpassing the previous record set just months earlier.
The first quarter of fiscal year 2024 has seen approximately 760,000 border encounters, marking the highest recorded for any first quarter, as reported by Fox News’ Bill Melugin.
BREAKING: CBP sources tell FOX there have now been over 276,00 migrant encounters at the southern border in December, the highest single month ever recorded, breaking the prior record set in September at 269,735, and there are still 3 days of December left. Record is being…

Musk, himself an immigrant from South Africa, has become increasingly vocal about the border crisis. In a recent visit to the U.S. southern border with Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-TX), he observed the situation firsthand, noting the presence of “some pretty extreme individuals” among those crossing. Musk clarified his stance, advocating for expanded legal immigration for individuals who contribute positively to the economy.
The tech mogul has also criticized the Biden administration and mainstream media for their lack of coverage and action regarding the crisis. He highlighted the approximately two million individuals entering through the southern border annually, a number that continues to rise without significant preventive measures from the current administration.
Strange that there is almost no legacy media coverage of this.
About 2 million people – from every country on Earth – are entering through the US southern border every year.
The number is rising rapidly, yet no preventive action is taken by the current administration. https://t.co/EF7HTS1ktT

As immigration remains a pivotal issue for voters leading up to the 2024 election, local and state leaders from both political parties are taking steps to address the challenges posed by the surge of illegal immigrants. Meanwhile, the Biden administration, in negotiations with the Republican-led House over a military aid package, has indicated a potential openness to increasing migrant expulsions and deportations.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre recently emphasized the administration’s efforts to tackle border security and immigration while suggesting that Republicans are more preoccupied with attacking the president’s family than resolving the border crisis.
