For the first time, Argentina is hosting the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), a globally recognized forum for conservative thought.
This landmark event, held in Buenos Aires, features prominent leaders from across the Americas, including Argentina’s President Javier Milei, Brazil’s Jair Bolsonaro, and several US conservative figures like Ben Shapiro and Kari Lake. The conference seeks to foster dialogue on key issues such as free markets, individual liberties, and combating socialism.
President Milei, a central figure at the event, emphasized his administration’s commitment to reducing public spending, privatizing state-run enterprises, and revitalizing the Argentine economy. Additional speakers include Argentina’s Minister of Security Patricia Bullrich, who is addressing crime reform, and Economy Minister Luis Caputo, presenting strategies for economic transformation.
CPAC Argentina means a growing regional movement against authoritarianism and progressive policies, aiming to strengthen conservative values across Latin America. The forum also highlights global conservative solidarity, with speakers advocating for shared principles of freedom and market-driven governance.
The event is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the region’s political landscape and reinforcing Argentina’s position as a leader in this ideological shift.
The event features the Schlapp couple, founders of CPAC, as prominent figures. Eduardo Verástegui delivered the blessing of the meal. Gateway Hispanic’s contributor, Mamela Fiallo, is attending the event and will analyze the participation of the speakers tomorrow, providing updates on how the event unfolds.
